When I felt led to reach out regarding ACTIVATE, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Broken down

from warfare, I had just resigned from my role as worship leader at our long-term church and

was spinning my wheels trying to figure out what God wanted. My health was failing and my

spirit was dry — I desperately needed someone who could speak the truth to me, in love.

Carlnika wasted no time helping me get my thoughts in order. We began by going back to the

basics... covering the things I already knew, but had somehow stopped believing with full faith.

She held me accountable as I spoke life and truth over my flesh, and helped me break the

chains of religion I did not even realize had bound me. My mind and body were slowly

renewed, and her interactions with me mirrored the love of God so beautifully — from

accountability to grace and everything in between. There were days where her words stung,

but they confirmed convictions and I needed to hear it. Other days, she had such a gentleness

that I could literally FEEL the love of our Father pouring out of her and onto my life. While

typing this out, I am tearing up remembering all of the times I was encouraged so deeply.

Carlnika is led by and yielded to the Holy Spirit in a way that allows her to speak with such

wisdom that comes only from our Father. She held my hand until I was able to return to that

place of power, then helped me continue to elevate my faith. The blood of Jesus is enough for

all seasons and challenges, and His name is greater than all weapons formed. I now realize

there is no amount of good behavior that can shield me from warfare, but I can face challenges

more equipped — with a renewed understanding of the undeniable power that lies in the blood,

the Word, and the name of Jesus.

What I thought might last 1-3 months turned into an almost year-long journey of discipleship

that only the Lord could have orchestrated. During that time, I experienced divine healing in my

body, and restoration in my mind. All glory to God!! I am now able to serve from a place of rest,

understanding that the Lord loves me just as much as He loves the ones I’ve set out to serve.

Our Father carries the weight, I am just walking in step with Him.

My wife used to walk with such authority with her identity in Christ. Little by little, she and I

both began to walk with less and less authority. We had been hammered for so long and

fighting nonstop, in addition to the teachings that we were sitting under. We knew they didn’t

line up exactly how we believed. We thought we would be unfazed, especially after discussing

those aspects and how we interpreted them based on supporting scriptures. Well, that wasn’t

true.

After starting the weekly sessions with Carlnika, they improved not just her spiritual walk, but

mine as well. I quickly saw the boldness return to my wife. Her boldness fueled mine. Our

spiritual walks have both strengthened. I enjoyed asking questions about her “homework” and

picking up on some of the things she was working through. I thank Carlnika for helping my wife

return to the basics, grasp a new, firm understanding, and then plow into the advanced

aspects and keep going. I feel that the sessions through ACTIVATE have helped me just as

much as they have helped my wife.

For years, I lived believing I was doing well—mentally and emotionally—when in reality my heart had become stony. God had so much for me to do, but I couldn’t walk in any of it in the condition I was in. The Lord led me to Activate so He could realign my heart with His.

Through Activate, I received God’s perspective on my heart. With His help—and the discipline, accountability, and guidance from Carlnika—I was able to come out of that unhealed place. As I emerged from the rubble, the Lord set me on the path He had always intended for my life.

Out of that healing, He birthed a ministry in me to assist parents in believing God for their child’s healing from autism. He surrounded me with a community hungry for His truth—people ready to align their hearts with His just as I had. He gave me the grace to write books, host gatherings, and serve His people, all because I finally surrendered my heart to Him.

Investing in Activate was investing in the growth my future required. I was made whole so that others could be free.

Activate with Carlnika has helped me tremendously. I was in need of wise counsel and the Lord directed me to her. She was just who I needed at this time in my life to help me gain clarity where there had been confusion and hope where there had been despair. With each Holy Spirit led session, I was enlightened and uplifted. I came out better than I went in. This program has challenged me to seek God in ways I hadn't and to trust Him like never before. I'm deeply grateful for Carlnika's counsel. She is a woman after God's own heart entrusted to shepherd His daughters. 

My Activate journey is empowering me to be who God intended. I am being anchored in His presence. I'm growing leaps and bounds into a purpose filled daughter of my King Jesus!!! My wife, Donna, has taken sessions with Carlnika. The change I have seen in her has been truly amazing. I see her walk with God and her intimacy with Him deeper. These weeks were so profound for many reasons. Carlnika is very intentional about letting the Holy Spirit lead these sessions. The sessions were powerful. The notes sent out after the sessions provided a snap shot of the session. The scripture reference and key points in the notes are timeless and I know I will come back to regularly. There were things I learned about myself that I needed to know in order to grow spiritually. I met a wonderful group of women from around the country. We prayed powerful prayers together and I am forever grateful. 

Taking this course has allowed me to invite God to magnify the things in my life that I didn't pay attention to that were hindering my walk with The Lord. It changed my perspective on how God sees me and how I see others. This course was life-changing and both equips and empowers you to stand strong in the Lord. It's encouraged me to be intentional with my relationship with God and has intensified my desire to seek Him daily. Carlnika has been such a gift to me. Her transparency and accessibility have been instrumental in restoring my faith in the church. The Monday morning prayer time with my sisters in Christ is powerful and anointed. I'm grateful that God has used Carlnika to pour into the lives of women and I pray He uses her to reach Nations of them.

My experience with the coaching of Ms. Hooks, was amazing. She helped me to understand myself better, how to interact in relationships, but most importantly, having a more intimate relationship with my Heavenly Father. 

Working with Carlnika was great because she didn't give me her opinions but she gave me GOD'S WORD. She lead everything back to God and gave me the necessary tools to seek God for myself. After meeting with Carlnika I left having clarity along with a renewed passion to know Jesus personally and intimately. I know longer put limitations on how God can speak to me. Carlnika taught me that He can speak through anything.

The seven week program with Carlnika has been life changing and heaven-sent!  We were able to process issues and questions that I had in order to unblock me and get me back in movement towards the assignments and purpose that God had for me.  I can always trust that the guidance given would be in alignment with our Heavenly Father because we started each session in prayer asking God to lead our discussion.

 I have grown more confident in my walk in faith and in the direction God wants me to go. 

My kids have also grown more in faith with her guidance!  My husband and I are also planning more intentional date time which is helping our marriage flourish.  

 Around 2021 I was on YouTube and Carlnika Hooks’ video on numbers popped up and I immediately knew this was the meaning of what God had been showing me. I was in transition. Selling my house and trusting in God of where to go next. I felt so validated in my persistence that God was talking to me. I made the mistake of telling many people who really robbed me of the excitement that God was speaking to me. I started feeling so much peace that God was really speaking to me in what most Christians would consider a very unconventional way. I felt like my relationship with him was just growing so much. 

However, I still felt like I was going crazy when he would speak to me about this man. I had such a hard time trusting that it was God because everything screamed the opposite of what I thought I was hearing from Him. 

I contacted Carlnika after I really just couldn’t take it anymore and the first phone call that we had before officially starting Activate I looked at the clock to keep track of time and it was 11:11. God speaking to me again! The first zoom call it happened again. 

Carlnika gave me so much encouragement and wisdom throughout those 8 weeks. My relationship with God has been taken to a whole new level. I mean I had no idea you could hear from God DAILY the way that I hear from Him now. I constantly hear Him talking to me and I just cannot get enough of it. I could never imagine going back to the way things were before Activate. I am so grateful to God for showing me that first video and so grateful to Carlnika for every one of our zoom meetings. I will forever be grateful for the role Carlnika has played in my walk with God. My life changed dramatically from those 8 weeks of Activate. 

I had an abortion, and I just could not seem to get over it. I called Carlnika. She encouraged me, and poured into me. I remember her exact words, "God is not like us. He will cast it into the sea of forgetfulness". So many times I was about to leave my husband. She would tell me, "No, that is not the plan God has for your life". She taught me the true meaning in walking by faith. She became my life coach.
